If you are looking for a feature packed app that is reliable and from a bookie who offers good odds on a massive range of markets and sports, then bwin should have the answer for you. Our guide and review is based on the genuine bwin app.
As one of the pioneers of online betting, bwin have actually had a dedicated Android app for almost 10 year! Ok for the first 7 years it was useless but this latest version is actually really good! Bwin are one of the best bookies for football betting throughout Europe and the rest of the world as they cover quite a lot of leagues that you don’t usually find with other bookmakers.
Placing your bets using the app
It’s very simple to place bets using the app but it can only be done when signed in. You can add selections to your slip but can not place the bet until you are logged in and have funds available. If you haven’t made your account yet, what are you waiting for! If you want to bet on the football, select the football icon from the menu. You will then be presented with a huge list of leagues and tournaments. Choose what you want to be on and click the option. If you want to wager on the Premier league, click that option and be met with the markets. If you want to select an easy bet, choose the game from win draw win. Need more markets? Click the game and see all available. It is then as simple as clicking on the odds and the bet is added to your slip. Like most bookie apps, this is located in the top right of the screen. Click on it to view your chosen selections. You can select from single or multiple bets and set the amount you wish to bet (your steak). When you are happy with your choices, press place bet and your bets will be on.
Our verdict on the Android app from bwin: A great app for European football betting
The mobile app for Android allows you to always feel right in the stadium with live score updates, great in play betting options and one of the fastest interfaces we have seen. Gain instant access to over 30,000 bets every day and you can place your single and multi bets (accumulators) via your mobile phone or tablet and follow the latest live scores – all from the app for Android. One feature on the app is bwin’s 5 Team Acca Insurance. Get your money back as a Free Bet when one team in your football 5+ Acca lets you down. Unlike some bookies, this is available every day of the week!
Bwin may not be every punter in the UK’s first choice of bookie but throughout Europe, they are considered the number 1 betting option for a lot of players.
Finding your way around the app is simple to do, the layout is straightforward and lets you browse the decent choice of markets, place your bets and access your account all within a few clicks. The app really looks the part with its dark colour scheme. There is nothing to distract you or take a way from the fact that this is a pure betting app. You can find all of the big games for the day on the apps homepage, including live games happening now. bwin cover a large number of football markets. They operate in a lot more countries than most bookies so they have to cover a huge range of markets to cater for everyone. It isn’t just football that gets the VIP treatment with bwin, there are loads (over 1000 everyday) options available on all the big sports. You can find all standard sports (F1, rugby golf, cricket, football etc) as well as less popular betting markets like Alpine Skiing, Bandy, Ski Jumping and table tennis. We found the in play betting pretty decent and updated quickly, these are supported with some great graphics for football. We had no issues in placing either single or multiple bets and there is always a wide choice of events and markets to bet on, regardless of the time of day.
As a market leader around Europe, bwin are a name you can place your bets with and feel safe. They have been providing gambling services to their customers for many years and have lots of loyal customers who will only use bwin thanks to their great offers and customer care. With live streaming, personalised alerts and one of the widest coverage of sports, you can see why they are so popular. bwin have recently updated the app and given it a visual improved to the bet slip so it is now sleeker and faster to use, we much prefer it to the older one! They have also a new, enhanced special mini score view for Tennis, Volleyball & Baseball. A great little feature that we would love to see on football. Maybe it will come soon.
It wasn’t just us who though the old design of the bwin mobile app sucked, this was the general feeling from a lot of punters. All of the issues that were present before seem to have been fixed and not only this, they have introduced some rather nifty new features. A new Build A Bet feature lets you customise your own bets from a selection of options per game. A brand new 3D live football animation displays live events happening during a game. This is one of the best we have seen on a betting app and is great to have if you can’t watch the game. Also, a new Smart switcher now means you can easily switch between markets while keeping track of your bets and not having to navigate too much around the mobile app.
bwin have just added a few more nifty features to their app and website too. Next up, is the bwin Squad. With this you are rewarded with a free £5 bet to use over the weekend when you wager £30+ on sports and £10+ on any casino games during the week. The next, which is an older feature that has been re introduced is Acca Madness. Every Acca that you place, enters you in to a leader board and the top 10 players with the highest odds of winning accas will share £100 everyday. The top 3 players will get a £5 free bet for the following 7 days too. A few good reasons there to use the app.
Our favourite highlights of the Android app
- Live streaming
- Unrivaled coverage of European football
- Really competitive odds
- Betfinder – search for bets
- Access casino & live casino
- Quick bet on singles
- Cash out feature is on point (called Early Payout)
Overall we do like the app offered by bwin. Sure it could do with some improvements but if you want a non run of the mill app, you could do a lot worse than the bwin Android app, especially if European football is your choice of betting. Live streaming is a real bonus on the app and you can watch coverage of football, tennis, volleyball, basketball and a few other sports, there are over 20 different ones to choose from. One unique feature only available with bwin (both on the app and online) is the PROTEKTOR feature. With this you can insure a number of picks in your Multi bets. If one or more fail to win, you will simply get your money back. It’s that simple. Just select PROTEKTOR when placing your bet and bwin will work out the cost to add it to your bet. It’s a nice alternative to acca insurance and a real selling point for bwin. In order to bet or to watch the live streaming, you are required to have an active account. Signing up only takes a few minutes and once you have registered, you can access all of these features. The admin/account area on the app has had a refresh and now you can access all of your information and you betting history. See your up coming bets and withdraw your winnings all from your account.
bwin have always offered good promotions and you can view and claim these on the Android app from bwin and also on the website. These include winning tickets to games, special accas, enhanced odds, trips to Vegas and daily offers.

“Sirigu22” – Not an app I use for everyday betting but the European markets for football are unmatched sometimes
